Train Buff
23. March 2009 by David.

If you’re a train buff you know what this is. If not hopefully an interesting still life. It’s actually part of the running gear on Engine 47 of the Nevada Northern Railroad, one of the stops on my vacation last year. My brother, Jim and I actually got to run the train for a short while. Even have a certificate to prove it.

The Cactus is blooming
23. March 2009 by Friedhelm.
Our cactus started to bloom. I could not resist to get my camera out. In this case I used my viewfinder camera as a lens for my DSLR. The connector was relatively cheap and it is a great tool for macro photography. I am always amazed that the 50+ year old lens produces such a great image.
Enjoy and keep on shooting!
