Mining Equipment in B&W

I recently took a long up & down hike on the South Merced River. This shot is of some abandoned mining equipment that I came across near the turn around point. I changed it to Black and White to enhance the contrasts and textures.
The fora and fauna were spectacular and I got some good photos despite a brisk wind. You will probably see some of them in the future, like maybe tomorrow. Stay tuned….

Seascape Sunset

This sunset was taken last year at Fort Bragg just as I pulled into the city. It worked out that my motel was just a few blocks from coast access. The sky above was clear, so the foreground rocks were visible as was the wonderful color of the sun setting through the fog.
