LAS MARIPOSAS CIVIL WAR DAYS

Historic re-enactments are a great source for photography. I loved photographing with my old large format camera and of course took a few pictures with my digital slr. I found two challenges:
1. The direct sunlight created harsh shadows. I was happy that my wife helped me with a large diffuse to block the direct sunlight out of the man’s face.
2. There were two many 21st century people and things around. In other words, I had to find the proper background. A car in the background of this picture would have ruined the shot.
