City Hall in Black and White
5. June 2009 by David.
I took this photo of our local City Hall as part of the Chowchilla Photo Club’s monthly theme a while back. You should come and join us at our next meeting. June 11 at 7pm, 821 Trinity Ave. in Chowchilla, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. You’ll have some fun talking photos, maybe learn something and maybe teach something.

Cross-Light
5. June 2009 by Friedhelm.
We were out photographing at night in Chowchilla, CA. When it started to rain we were looking for some protection for our camera gear and for some interesting subjects to photograph. We discovered the moon and noticed that the clouds covered the moon in a few seconds and after another 10 seconds or so the moon was fully visible again. I love to shoot at night at f22, ISO 100 and 30 s exposure time. This was impossible. This image was shot at f5.6, ISO 100 and 2s. The moon looks mysterious in the background and the two street signs reflect warm and cold lights. The Third street sign reflects the warm light from a street light and the Robinson Blvd sign reflects the cold window light from the store front. This makes it not just a traffic intersection but also an intersection of light.
Happy photographing
