As I’m getting ready to put up some of my photographs in my new home I came across this photo from a couple of years back of Yosemite Falls. Friedhelm and his family were gracious enough to ask me to come along with them. Thank you.

It was taken on a rather dreary day, with intermittent rain and is one of my favorites. One of my aquaintances said if you looked at it long enough it would put you to sleep, she clarified that by saying it was very peaceful. So enjoy but don’t fall asleep on me.

I believe we all look for beauty somewhere around us. I was surprised finding beauty in a few simple leaves. Something attracted me to the vine and I thought the leaves would make a great black and white picture, but I was wrong. The dark green green leave stands out and the color supports the structure. Maybe beauty is there where structure and color work together in harmony.
