Olmstead Point
2. August 2009 by David.
Friedhelm, his wife Nancy and I took a little trip to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite and on to Mono Lake. On the way we stopped at Olmstead Point. You might say the sky was very cooperative. During the day we heard one clap of thunder, and the car was sprinkled on a little but that’s all the harm these clouds caused.
I brought out the color of the sky buy using a polarizing filter on my camera. If you buy one, be sure and get the ‘circular’ not ‘linear’ type. They’re both round but the linear type can confuse your camera.
