High Desert Flower
20. August 2009 by David.
This time of the year you don’t see many flowers in the high desert, it’s mostly dry scrub brush. I’m not sure if the thunder storm that had gone through the area the day before brought out these flowers or not. I’d stopped by a Vista Point and the only flowers were on one small bush. The wind was blowing so I had the dilemma of depth of field versus stopping the action. I got lucky and the wind died down just long enough for me to get this at f20, 1/13 of a second at iso250 with a tripod of course. I also used an extension tube to get in close.
