Drill baby drill…..

While I was photographing in Turlock, CA, I saw this Gentleman working on the Barber’s entrance. He also gave me permission to photograph him and I noticed how concentrated and intense his facial expression was during the drilling. I found out that most people will say yes, if you ask them for permission to photograph them. I never ask, “can I take your picture, please?” This suggests that you want to take, maybe even take away from the subject. Instead I ask, “do you give me permission to photograph you?”
