A special shadow
25. November 2009 by Friedhelm.
When we arrived at the little chapel in Yosemite valley I walked across the street to the wooden bridge. The sun was not visible yet and I was looking to photograph frozen leaves. While I was photographing the sun peaked through and I was just ready to leave when I saw that the sun had melted the thin layer of frost on the bridge except the parts that were in the shadow. I quickly took the shot and a few minutes later the entire bridge was clear of surface frost. Sometimes timing is indeed everything!
