The Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA

On our way back to Merced, CA we had to stop in Redding, CA to see the relatively new Sundial Bridge (opened July 4, 2004). This architectural marvel is 700 feet long and 23 feet wide across the Sacramento River. If you are in the area this is a must see location.
The 217 foot tall pylon constructed of 580 tons of steel.
