Soft and Hard

I liked the contrast between the hardness of the rock and the softness of the flower. I left the background slightly blurred to focus on the flower. The lines in the rock also continues the angle and direction of the flower. Hope you enjoy.
F4.5 at 1/200 sec, 38mm with 2x converter, ISO 200, tripod mounted.

St. Mary’s College Campus

Nested in the hills small town of Moraga, CA (east of Oakland, CA) lays the campus of on of the oldest higher education campus’ in the west. St. Marys was founded 1863 in San Francisco and later moved here. In order to create a dramatic image I used my Cokin IR filter. Camera setting: 67mm focal length, F8, 30sec., ISO 100
