Future Almonds?

This time of the year the almond farmers are hoping that what you see here will turn into the stuff that keeps California the bread basket (almond basket?) of the world. We had a lot of untimely rain this year but hopefully the bees were able to get their job done. Even the two that stung me.

What a bee sees

Here is a close-up of the inside of a flower, what a bee sees. I like the texture and the small grains of pollen that are just a bit lighter than the rest of the flower.
