Tufa, Mono Lake, CA

We arrived at the South Tufa area shortly before sunset and stayed until it was pretty much totally dark and the star gazers showed up. We were hoping for clouds but the sky was beautifully clear. I was a little bit disappointed which of course did not stop me from photographing. The light after the sunset was just beautifully and I used my 17-40 lens to created compositions that show a large depth of fields. Camera setting: 22mm focal length, f22, 2.5sec., ISO 100 tripod mounted.
