Bodie, CA

Bodie is a fascinating ghost town to photograph. It is also a challenge for every photographer. The park closes at 6:00 PM just when the light got really good and I wished I could have photographed at least an hour longer. On the other side infrared photography is at it’s best when traditional photography is at it’s worst. This gave me the idea to create a mixed image out of both worlds. I photographed this old house in regular color at about 2:30 PM in camera raw. I created a regular image and a digital infrared image. Both images I combined. Camera setting: 17mm focal length (full frame sensor, slightly cropped), f11, 1/200sec., ISO 100 tripod mounted.
