31. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
December 2010 is the coldest December since 1969 and coming from California I struggled with driving on icy roads and getting used to the harsh climate. I struggled also with my camera gear. It was no fun carrying a large backpack and tripod through the streets. People were looking at me wondering what this crazy guy is doing and at the end of the day I was happy I did it because I got some great images like this one. I photographed in downtown Brauschweig in northern Germany. The purple light was created by some lights from a nearby ice-ring where people where ice-skating.
Enjoy and happy photographing.

Christmas Tree
30. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
I photographed this Christmas tree inside a shopping center at the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany. I was surprised that I was able to unfold my tripod and take my time to plan the photograph without being disturbed by a security guard since I was told several times by security guards in California that I it is forbidden to photograph at a mall.
Enjoy and happy photographing

Frozen Leaves
29. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
I photographed these leaves after an ice storm. The leaves and the branch were totally surrounded by ice. I also edited this image with Nik Color Efix Pro, a wonderful plug-in for Photoshop.
Happy photographing!

Paint Can
26. December 2010 by David.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas or your choice of celebration.
I like how the lines lead to the paint can, and the many textures involved. Notice how the vertical lines behind the can are straight but the ones on the door are tilted. Reminds me of working on older homes over the years. In fact I have a door at my business…… well maybe next weekend.

Merry Christmas
24. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
I found these large Christmas decorations at the Embarcadero shopping center close to Market street in san Francisco. I felt that this composition was a great candidate for a partially black and white conversion.
Enjoy, happy photographing and Merry Christmas from us here at Eye2Eyephotostudio in beautiful Central California.

Oasis
23. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
In the midst of all the huzzle and buzzle on Market Street is a small “oasis” of quietness in form of small water ponds and surrounding plants. A surrounding sky scraper is reflected in the water.
Enjoy!

The Dancer, the Drummer and the Dollars
22. December 2010 by Friedhelm.
Market street is full of street musicians. It looks like that they are have their place where you can find them on a regular basis. They have become part of the city and the good-one attract a crowd like these two. They had a great show and I took time to photograph them.Enjoy and as always: Happy Photographing!
