Ladle and Pan

Friedhelm, his wife Nancy and I went to Railtown 1897 in Jamestown, Ca. yesterday.
Bet you were expecting a photograph of a choo choo, gears or other ‘train’ stuff. Well I have a lot of those but I liked the simplicity of this ladle in a pan. Not sure exactly what it was used for but it was near a small forge. I’m guessing it was used to cool the metal after heating and shaping it. Interestingly when I changed this to black and white there was very little color change.
