It was a little bit of foggy this morning so I decided to take a walk through Rahilly Park in Merced. The light was beautiful soft and I got this shot.

Stendal is a small town west of Berlin. It is definitely worth a visit if you like to photograph old buildings. I photographed this walkway right in front of the city dome.

Fountain at the Embarcadero

photoblog-day-714.jpg

The fountain was created by the Canadian Sculptor Armand Vaillancourt in 1971 and is located at the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. Vaillancourt named it “Quebec libre” to support the freedom movement in his own town. You can read the history at  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armand_Vaillancourt.

Oakland Bay Bridge

photoblog-day-707.jpg

I had the opportunity to be in San Francisco last night and my plan was to photograph the skyscrapers in the financial district during sunset. The Oakland Bay bridge was “just” a side product. Technically this image was created using three exposures and combining them in Photomatix pro. In addition I created several layers to fine tune the image.
