Farmer’s Market
17. October 2011 by Friedhelm.
We visited the farmer’s Market in Fresno, CA. These bell-peppers caught my attention and I used a 135mm primes lens at f2.8 to photograph them.
Enjoy and have a great photographic week!

Green Eyes Wine
26. June 2011 by David.
Not sure how good a wine this is but I find the label kinda creepy.
This was taken at a wedding I recently attended. Having four sets of the same eyes peaking out over the ice and following where ever you go was kind of a weird feeling, so of course I photographed it. With the four main subjects this is a very busy photograph. Your eyes keep jumping from bottle to bottle, then taking in the texture of the ice and then…………..

My Peach Blossom
19. March 2011 by David.
Everyone who knows me, knows I love fruit. Especially fresh from the tree.
Last year I planted a peach tree and plum tree. I’m looking forward to picking the peach that I hope will result from this blossom. A bee visited the blossom just after I took this photograph but was moving a little too fast and came out blurry. I used an extension tube and shot this at 85mm. To get the depth of field I wanted I set the f-stop at f13 for 1/13th of a second. Looks like 13 was the lucky number this time.

Abundance
20. October 2010 by Friedhelm.
This image reminds me of the incredible richness of California. The fresh fruit and vegetables we get here at the local farmer’s market is just unbeatable.
Enjoy and be thankful for your local farmer!

Photographing on a farm 05
8. October 2010 by Friedhelm.
We discover more and more how important fresh fruits and vegetables are in our daily diet. We are very fortunate here in the San Joaquin Valley in Central California that they grow here in abundance.
Thanks for looking at this weeks images and have a great week-end!

A Simple Salad
26. August 2010 by Friedhelm.
Besides photographing landscapes, portraits, weddings, and other events, we are also photographing food products for websites or brochures. The goal of creating images in food photography is to entice the viewer. He has to see the product and thinking: “I want that salad.” Food photography requires a lot of planning and precision. It is seldom done by the photographer alone. There is the graphic designer, the food stylist and the photographer who work as a team.
Sorry, I had to watermark this image, because they get so often copied without our permission. Drop us a line eye2eyephotostudio@ymail.com, if you have any questions.
Happy Photographing and bon appetite!

‘Tis the Season
23. July 2010 by David.
While the area around Chowchilla, Ca. is known for almonds and dairy there’s a lot more going on here than that.
The stone fruit season is in full swing and these peaches will soon be in a grocery store or canner. Hopefully in a couple of years I’ll be able to take this photograph in my own back yard. I planted a couple of fruit trees earlier in the year.
f5.6 at 1/5th sec., 85mm, iso200

“Natural” Grapes
19. October 2009 by Friedhelm.
I am fascinated with my light-box and I try all kinds of light settings and watch the results carefully just like the pioneers of photography did. IT is quite a difference to read about a photo technique or to experiment yourself. Camera setting: 135mm lens, extension tubes, F22, 1/25sec., ISO 100.
Just one comment: I did not want to use silicon spray and water spray. These grapes are chilled and taken directly from the refrigerator.
Enjoy!

Avocados
18. October 2009 by Friedhelm.
Currently I am reading the “Daybooks of “Edward Weston.” Westen photographed peppers and other vegetables with his large format camera. He inspired me to tremendously and I decided to open our refrigerator door to look for proper subjects. I found two avocados that I arranged carefully and photographed several times. This is one of the images I like. Enjoy!
