Portrait of a Blacksmith

Mike has been a blacksmith for several decades. He worked hard in his life and I wanted to show the harshness in his portrait. I decided to used a honeycomb strobe to emphasize on half of his face and I photographed him while he was looking into the direction of the strobe.

Enjoy the image and keep on creating great images!

Conductor

David and I photographed at the Western Railway Museum located near Rio Vista on Hwy. 12 in northern California. I photographed this conductor who spent a great deal of time answering all the questions we had. In post production I converted the image to black and white.

Enjoy and keep on photographing!

PS: The museum is a great place to visit for families and all those who are interested in California’s history!
