2. May 2012 by Friedhelm.
what do you do while you are waiting? These groomsmen were watching the fish. I liked the reflection in the water in opposite to the fish.
Enjoy and keep on photographing!

Early Morning Dandelion
9. April 2012 by Friedhelm.
I went outside early this morning to photograph some of my Dandelions that are growing on my front lawn. I used a 180mm macro lens and a sturdy tripod to get this image.
Enjoy and have a great week full of imagination and creativity!

Reflection
20. March 2012 by Friedhelm.
Fern Spring is one of my favorite places in Yosemite Valley. Every time I stopp there I discover something different. The reflection caught my attention and I had to take several shots.
Enjoy and keep on photographing!

Robert W.
12. November 2011 by David.
I attended the annual Veterans Day Memorial Service in Chowchilla yesterday.
I focused on Robert, a friend of mine, member of the photo club and most importantly a veteran. He, members of the VFW and American Legion were the color guard at the memorial. No matter your politics you must give all members of the armed services their due. They go and have gone into harms way so we have the most imperfect and yet perfect form of government.

Fog of War
23. October 2011 by David.
“Fog” of war doesn’t refer to moisture in the air.
This ‘fog’ was created by the cannon used in the Civil War Reenactment at Kearney Park outside Fresno. With no wind the smoke just hung over the battlefield.
This was near the end of the battle, the young man stands over his fallen comrades. Soon the surgeons will come by as well as the ‘widows walk’. The wives and relatives of the soldiers will look through the fallen for their husbands or kin folk. In the beginning of the war people would actually go out and have picnics planning to watch the battle.

Chowchilla Reflection
6. October 2011 by Friedhelm.
Robinson Blvd is the main street in Chowchilla, CA. It is also the street of tall palm trees that you can see from afar. I saw the palm trees reflected in the water during the photo walk last Sunday and decided to take a shot.
Enjoy and keep on photographing!

Putters Fountain
19. June 2011 by David.
Part of the dining experience is the ambiance.
This is the view from Putters Bistro in Chowchilla. The light area in the middle is the sand trap on the 18th Green of Pheasant Run Golf Course. Not a bad way to end the day whether you golf or not. Because of the high contrast between the sand, sky and lake, I had to use layers in Photo Shop so the details wouldn’t either wash out or disappear in blackness.

Sunset in a Window
13. May 2011 by Friedhelm.
Last night the Chowchilla Photo Club went out to photograph selected buildings in the town of Chowchilla. While we were walking I discovered the reflection of the sunset. This building was not on our list but I photographed it anyway.
Enjoy and happy Friday!

Natures Mirror
16. April 2011 by David.
Yosemite received lots of rain and snow this year.
This meadow is usually dry but with the added water this year it turned into a mirror for the wonders of Yosemite. It’s a good thing there is a log going out into the water because the bank was very muddy and would not have allowed for this particular angle. I’m also thankful that the log wasn’t too wet. Of course I did let one of my fellow photographers go out on it first. Just to make sure it was safe. Am I a gentleman or what? What!
