I was thrilled when I discovered some sand dunes outside Borrego Springs, a small community in the middle of Anza Borrego State Park. I photographed these dunes shortly after lunch. A moment earlier I felt like taking a nap somewhere in an air conditioned room since the temperature had climbed to 101f. All this did not matter, because the dunes where in pristine condition. There were no footprints and I was the only guy around crazy enough to photograph.
